Functional kitchen art. These face grain cutting boards are made of Zebrawood and Roasted Poplar. The Zebrawood is an exotic wood found in Africa. The unique color pattern of golden brown with the contrast of dark brown streaks gives it the look of a beautiful zebra pattern. The Roasted Poplar is a domestic wood found here in North America and is a very budget friendly option to choose from to compliment the zebrawood.
These boards are laser engraved and finished with several coats of food safe mineral oil and a thin coat of bee's wax. They measure 17 inches long and 12 inches wide. Thicknesses for these boards can vary with most of them starting out less than 1 inch thick. Once flattened and sanded these boards range from a 1/2 inch to 3/4-inch thick.
