Functional kitchen art. These face grain cutting boards are made of Red Tarara, Bubinga, and Cherry woods. The Red Tarara is an exotic wood found in Latin America. This wood option has an elegant coloring of a subtle pinkish red color that can also range from yellow to orange with streaks of red, purple, and black. Bubinga is also an exotic wood found in Africa with a unique elegant-yet-natural violet to mauve color. And lastly Cherry wood is a domestic wood found in North America that has a reddish brown with an added golden luster that makes it beautiful addition to the two exotic woods.
These boards are laser engraved and finished with several coats of food safe mineral oil and a thin coat of bee's wax. They measure approximately 17 inches long and 12 inches wide. Thicknesses can vary in size with most of the boards starting out less than 1 inch thick. Once flattened and sanded these boards can range from a 1/2 inch to 3/4-inch thick.
