Cutting Boards "Bear Necessities"

Functional kitchen art can be found in these face grain cutting boards that are made of Santos Mahogany, Merbau, & Anigre. Santos Mahogany is a beautiful wood found in Latin America & is also known by the name Estoraque. It can range in color from a deep red to somewhat purplish and is known to be a durable wood option. Merbau is also an exotic wood that is native to Asia. This wood is also very durable and is therefore suitable for use in cutting boards. Lastly Anigre is an exotic wood found in Africa. The unique charm of this wood is in the colors which range from yellowish to pale brown sometimes containing a pinkish tint to it. 

These boards can be laser engraved (per request). They are finished with several coats of food safe mineral oil and a thin coat of bee's wax to bring out the natural beauty of each of the different woods. They measure 17 inches long and 12 inches wide. Thicknesses can vary with most of the boards starting out less than 1 inch thick. Once flattened and sanded these boards range from a 1/2 inch to 3/4-inch thick.
