Functional kitchen art. These face grain cutting boards are made of Red Gum & Tropical Walnut. Red Gum wood is a domestic wood that is also known as Sap Gum wood. This wood coloring can range from white to light pink with attractive dark streaks throughout out. Tropical Walnut on the other hand is an exotic wood found in Latin America. It has a bold cocoa color that is dark chocolate brown sometimes having subtle purple coat to it.
These boards can be laser engraved (per request). They are finished with several coats of food safe mineral oil and a thin coat of bee's wax to bring out the natural beauty of the wood. They measure 17 inches long and 12 inches wide. Thicknesses can vary with most of the boards starting out less than 1 inch thick. Once flattened and sanded these boards range from a 1/2 inch to 3/4-inch thick.
